Darren Eales Grabs Mic: Hands Off Our Goal Machine!…
In the magical land of Geordieland, Newcastle United CEO Darren Eales has thrown down the gauntlet to clubs dreaming of signing up the Swedish goal maestro, Alexander Isak. With talk of a sparkly new extended contract, Isak’s fans can breathe easy knowing he’s not set to pack up his boots anytime soon. The striker, whose goal-scoring talents leave defenders bewildered, has bagged 19 goals, only playing second fiddle to the likes of Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland this season.
Liverpool dreamed of a player-swap with Darwin Nunez (wonder if they’ll chuck in a few jammy dodgers), and Arsenal eyed Isak longingly, but Eales remained as resolute as a cat guarding its favorite napping spot. To paraphrase Eales: “Our glittering collection of long-term contracts ensures our players are pretty much stuck with us, and we love it!”
Eales gave a shout-out to Isak’s world-class status and hinted at snazzy new deals, stating, “Come summer, we’ll talk deals just like Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes, and Anthony Gordon. But for now, Liverpool and Arsenal can keep dreaming!” Alan Shearer, former Newcastle star and all-round goal oracle, chimed in confidently on a podcast: “Isak should be fine for the Carabao Cup final.” And if there’s any doubt, resting him is the name of the game!
