Kerkez in Liverpool’s Transfer Crosshairs…
Liverpool is on a mission to nab Bournemouth’s left-back, Milos Kerkez, in what could be the worst-kept secret of the transfer season. With plans that could rival a top secret spy mission, Liverpool’s Arne Slot is eyeing an early summer swoop to replace Andy Robertson. Kerkez, who apparently is buddies with Liverpool’s own Dominik Szoboszlai, could be the new Andy, pending Bournemouth’s blessing and a reasonable fee of ÂŁ40million ($52m).
Meanwhile, it seems like the football world is playing a giant game of “Who Wants Milos?” with Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal also joining in on the Kerkez craze. But can Liverpool close the deal before things get as crowded as a bargain bin on Black Friday? Kerkez apparently fancies a move to Liverpool, thanks to his previous bromance with the director of football Richard Hughes.
Of course, Andy Robertson isn’t exactly shaking in his football boots. The Scotland captain has shrugged off rumors of his impending doom, standing firm like a British bobby when asked about his position. With a “been there, done that” attitude, Robertson is buzzing to hold his ground, even if Liverpool opts to bring in a new face—or two. He’s ready to duke it out for the left-back crown, minor slip-ups and all!
