Saliba’s Ankle Injury Shocks Arsenal Plans…
Arsenal fans have been gobsmacked to learn that William Saliba will be doing an impression of my granny’s knitting club: sitting on the sidelines for three to four weeks. The towering defender had to make a hasty exit from the Liverpool match, making his way off the pitch faster than a cat realizing it’s bath time. After Saliba’s unfortunate departure, French media confirmed he has a sprained ankle. Now, the 24-year-old is set to miss crucial games, leaving Arsenal looking as organized as a squirrel with a PDA in the coming Champions League.
In Saliba’s absence, newbie Cristhian Mosquera, from Valencia, had to step in, turning him into the unexpected hero like a dog who’s learned to vacuum. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, however, breathed a sigh of relief having Mosquera available, probably thankful he didn’t have to draft in the ball boy. As Saliba rests up, Arteta bolstered the defense by grabbing Piero Hincapie on loan from Bayer Leverkusen. And so, Arsenal awaits Saliba’s return, praying his ankle heals faster than a cheetah on roller skates.
