Collymore says big fee will fade fast
Liverpool’s $169m (£125m) signing Alexander Isak debuted against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League and could feature in the Merseyside derby. Stan Collymore, once a British record buy himself, believes fans will forget the fee if Isak hits form quickly.
After all, compared to today’s transfer sums, Collymore’s £8.5m fee now looks less like a blockbuster and more like spare change found behind the sofa.
