Steven Gerrard has withdrawn from consideration for the vacant Rangers job after Russell Martin’s sacking. The 45-year-old, who famously led the club to their 2021 title, felt the timing wasn’t right but left the door open for the future.
At this rate, Gerrard’s managerial comebacks have more near-misses than a Sunday league striker.
