Liverpool forward eases back as Sweden close qualifier run
Alexander Isak featured for about half an hour in Sweden’s 4–1 loss to Switzerland and is set for more minutes against Slovenia on Tuesday. Coach Graham Potter says the striker’s return will be gradual—because rushing fitness is like trying to microwave a Sunday roast: never ends well.
Isak hasn’t played for Liverpool since his groin injury versus Eintracht Frankfurt, but Arne Slot could have him ready for Nottingham Forest and then PSV in the Champions League midweek.
