Turned down giants for a promise at Anfield
Djibril Cissé revealed he rejected offers from Real Madrid and Barcelona in 2004 to honour his word to Liverpool. The French striker joined from Auxerre, scoring 13 goals in 49 games before moving to Marseille.
He joked he was so loyal, even his barber couldn’t change his mind.
