Newcastle and Fans Await Isak’s Next Move…
Liverpool has been eyeing Alexander Isak like a kid at a candy store, but Eddie Howe isn’t ready to give away his sweet prize. Isak, on the other hand, has been trying to run from Newcastle faster than a cat escaping a bath. Surprisingly, this week he chose to stir the pot with a social media post, accusing Newcastle of being promise breakers. Even at Villa Park, he was called “greedy” as loud as fireworks on New Year’s Eve. Despite this circus, Howe believes the team and fans will welcome Isak back if he decides to return.
Eddie Howe feels like he’s living in a soap opera with Alexander Isak as the main star. Isak’s no-show for the first game and dedicated strike schedule make it seem like he’s aiming for a Guinness World Record in football sit-outs. But Howe is crossing his fingers, toes, and probably his shoelaces that Isak will don a Newcastle jersey soon. Even though the fans’ relationship with Isak is rockier than climbing Mount Everest in flip-flops, Howe is hopeful everything will eventually untangle like a confused slinky.
