Alexander Isak finally became a Liverpool player on deadline day, completing his £125m move from Newcastle after months of back-and-forth. Alexis Mac Allister joked the squad was drained by the endless saga but thrilled to have him at Anfield.
Isak debuted in the 3-2 Champions League win over Atletico Madrid, playing just under an hour. The Swedish striker had trained away from Newcastle’s main squad and isn’t yet fully fit — though if transfers had fitness levels, this one would’ve needed extra time too.
