Big fee, big debut, no stress for Reds striker

Liverpool smashed the British transfer record by signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle for $169m (£125m). The striker impressed in his Champions League debut versus Atletico Madrid, and he’s eyeing the Merseyside derby next.

Stan Collymore joked about past fees, noting his £8.5m record in 1995 would now equal around £216m. In other words, transfer inflation makes Monopoly money look like a sensible currency.
