Liverpool’s attempt to nab Marc Guehi ended like trying to catch a greased pig at a country fair. Moving forward, the January transfer window opens on New Year’s Day, 2026. Liverpool might be tempted to fork out again, despite the possibility of getting him free later. That’s like buying a giant inflatable Santa in July because it’s half-price. Palace may have missed out on £35 million, but they’re clutching Guehi like he’s the last slice of Grandma’s famous apple pie.
