In an escape plot fit for a cheeky football heist film, Gary Neville, the Manchester United legend, gave a cheeky wave from the commentary box at Anfield before bolting away from his Sky Sports duties faster than a striker with a sudden cramp! Having co-commentated on Liverpool’s thunderous 5-1 demolition of Tottenham, which saw the Reds gobble up their 20th Premier League title, Neville knew better than to face the jubilant Liverpool pundit posse who were waiting for their own victory lap.
While the pitch resembled a roaring sea of red-liveried fans dancing like there was no full-time whistle, Neville decided to sit out the grand celebration stage right next to David Jones, Jamie Redknapp, and Daniel Sturridge.
