Newcastle’s Grand Dream Turns into a Nightmare…
Once upon a time, Newcastle had visions of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike dominating pitches side by side. However, the only place that’s likely to happen now is in a fantasy football league. In an epic fumble, Eintracht Frankfurt turned down Newcastle’s offer for Ekitike, and Liverpool swooped in faster than a squirrel spotting free peanuts. Now, Newcastle fans have seen their dream duo conspire against them and might need a new plan that involves much less comedy.
Newcastle’s bid seems to have ricocheted off Ekitike like a boomerang, only to whack them on the back of their heads. To add to the hilarity, Isak appears more tempted by a red shirt than a classic black and white one, given he’s reportedly itching to leave. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s “Plan B” is looking more like a blockbuster movie lineup. While Newcastle might be stuck with a star striker who might only be pretending to smile, Liverpool’s worst-case scenario is having a shiny new striker fully ready to steal the spotlight.
