Hold onto your goalposts, folks! Former Liverpool magician and midfield maestro Paul Ince just got a big red card — not on the pitch, but on the roads. Our ex-footy hero collided with the central reservation in his Range Rover faster than you can say “own goal”. Thanks to the ol’ drink-drive tango, he’s been benched from the driver’s seat for 12 months and owes a small fortune of £7,085, which could buy approximately a gazillion footballs or at least a decade’s supply of bovril!
Ince treated Chester Magistrates’ Court like a stadium of adoring fans. Not just content with his licensing ban, the man everyone, including his parrot, calls the Governor, delighted admirers by signing autographs and snapping cheeky selfies outside the courtroom. The golf followers from Heswall Golf Club can breathe easy now, knowing Ince won’t be racing them with his Range Rover on the greens anytime soon!
