Liverpool’s Jarell Quansah Gets England Nod Amid Drama…
Jarell Quansah might just have a reason to dance like nobody’s watching! Despite Thomas Tuchel’s ruthless squad trimming, our lucky Liverpool lad could soon grace the hallowed England pitch against Latvia. Poor Tuchel had to conduct a UEFA-approved game of musical chairs, trimming his rowdy squad down to 23. Quansah was left out during the Albania showdown, but the winds of fortune are now blowing in his favor! The stage is set against Latvia, and Quansah could soon show Latvia what he’s made of.
Over at Liverpool, Q-Man had a rough start to the season under Arne Slot – yanked at half-time (ouch!) on matchday one. Ibrahima Konate has been something of an unmovable object since taking over. But no worries, Quansah recovered his groove and started the League Cup final at right-back when injuries swept through the team faster than you can say “ankle sprain.” Should he trot out onto the pitch today, he’ll hit the England milestone before Harvey Elliott snags his own spotlight.
In other newsy buzz, Liverpool’s Curtis Jones is rockin’ under Tuchel’s lights, and we’re keeping our eyes peeled for any surprise sprinkle of Jordan Henderson magic on the pitch. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s sitting this one out with an injury, Gordon’s checking out with his own boo-boo, and Ramsdale’s got the short end of the stick in the final squad decision. With Dan Burn experimenting in the backline and Latvia as the intended victim, could this spell glory for our hero Quansah? Keep those fingers crossed!
